Pixie Cottage DT Card - Embossing

Morning Crafters,
How are you all doing today? The weather is absolutely fabulous here this morning, so I am going to keep this short as I don't want to miss out on any ray coming my way....lol

So it is Wednesday again and as You all know by now it is time for a new challenge over at The Pixie Cottage and as usual we have a lovely sketch and and optional theme or technique which is embossing today.
It can either be dry or heat embossing.
So here's another fabulous sketch designed by Katie:

and here's my card:

My Recipe:
For my image today I used the Lovely stamp Hannah on swing and it's available from Michelle's Scrapbook store. I coloured my image using Promarkers and then added the shapes using my spellbinders nestabillities. I embossed my panels with the daisies and swirls using Cuttlebug embossing folders. The flowers I made using some punches and the brads on the side was just out my stash.
I hope you all like it.

Pixie Cottage DT Card - Fun with Food!

Morning Bloggers and All My lovely Followers....

And yes you all know why I am here today! It is Wednesday again...and boy did this past week fly by.
Today we have a new challenge starting over at Pixie Cottage and as you all know we always have two parts to the challenge, so you can either use the lovely sketch that is on the challenge blog or you could follow the theme:
FUN WITH FOOD
and that is the theme we have set for the next weeks challenge, or if your feeling really adventurous you could do both.....either way the DT can't wait to see what everyone will share with us, we always enjoy looking at all the lovely entries....but anyway enough of me blabbering on here is my card for your inspiration this week....

I have attempted a spring card using my hougie board, and this was the very first time I have attempted this type of card, after fiddling a bit I managed it in the end, I am sure it will be a bit easier when I attempt the next one.
My image I used is from Pixie Cottage and it is called Pupcake and it's by one of the lovely designers Artish...I am sure you have all heard of her before...but if not hop over to the Pixie Cottage Shop as there is loads more of fabulous designs which is exclusive to The Pixie Cottage.

I coloured my image using my promarkers. The Scalloped circles was cut out using my Brand New Spellbinders Grand Calibur and some newly acquired nesties. The ribbons was just from my stash.

Hope you all like it and please come over to The Pixie Cottage blog for some more lovely inspirational cards from my fellow DT Members.

Sweet Stampin Dt Project - One for the Boys

Good Evening Bloggers,
Well don't know what happened to my scheduled post as I had a post scheduled for this morning only to discovered this afternoon that it never appeared......oh dear blogger.....

Anyhow I am going to keep this short as I am on my way to bed....
The card I want to show you all today is my DT project for the new challenge that started this morning over at Sweet Stampin....and our theme for the week coming is - One for the boys and this was chosen by the lovely Vicky.
And Our sponsor is Fairy Dust crafts which is offering the winner 5 digi's from her store.
So please hop over and see all the lovely cards my fellow DT members has made to inspire you all!
My Card Recipe:
The image is a Rootin Tootin Cowboy and this is a image I won a few weeks ago from Karen Doodles, and I couldn't wait for an opportunity to get him coloured and what a nice lad he turned into....
I have used my promarkers to colour the image and used the tea die distress ink to ink all the edges of my paper and card stock. The check paper is from a 6x6 paper stack from The paper cellar.
I tried to keep it nice and simple as it is a boys card, I used the sketch from the Fetch a Sketch Challenge blog.

Hope you all like it!

Pixie Cottage DT card! Sketch and/ Wrap it in Ribbon!

Good Afternoon My Dear Followers & Blogging Friends!

Sorry my Post is a wee bit late! I am having some internet promblems as we in the middle of switching providers so I am not too sure when it will be totally sorted....

Anyhow....here's my card for the new challenge that started over on Pixie Cottage and our theme for this week is to Use some Ribbon. We also have a lovely sketch which the lovely Katie has designed for us, but this choice is yours, you can choose to use either the sketch or Ribbon or both. Please hop over to the main Pixie Cottage blog to check out the lovely prize up for grabs as well as the lovely cards my fellow Dt members made...The inspiration is just so amazing.....

My Card Recipe:

My Image is a Rubber Stamp from Pixie Cottage and it is called Springtime Hannah with Butterflies and its by Sandra Hammer. It is available here.

I coloured my image with my Promarkers and then I used the Tea die distress ink to do the edges of the image. I then cut multiple layers out using the cricut machine, which I then layered my image on.

My background paper is from the Roam paper pack by K&Co, I have had these papers for a while but never got round to using them as they all have a vintage feel to them, and I do find doing vintage cards sometimes a wee bit hard. Anyway I layered my main background paper onto two different colours of plain cardstock, I used sanding paper to sand the sides a bit, and then some distress inks.

The flowers I made myself using different sizes of scalloped circle dies, which I layered and and distressed to give them a bit of a distressed look, finally I added the brads to the centre of the flowers.

Lastly I added the lace and ribbon accross the page and made the ribbon bow thingy...lol
Overall I am very happy with the end result of my card...I hope you all like it too....

Something Unusual - Sweet Stampin Dt

Well, Good Morning Everyone
It is actually very late, so I decided to post quickly schedule my post for this morning as I know now for a fact that I won't be up in time for this...lol
But I am feeling a bit tired and blurry eyed so I am going to make this as quick as possible....

Today we have our new challenge starting over on Sweet Stampin and it is a nice but not so easy one...lol or let me say for some of us - The new challenge is to use or make something unusual......sounds easy...

Anyway I went for something maybe not to unusual for some of you lovely ladies out there, but for me this was very unusual as I have never attempted anything like it before.

So I made a little canvas....Seeing that I will be redecorating my wee daughters room in the very near future, I thought I will try something to decorate the walls with...and this is what I came up with.

(Sorry if the picture isn't too good)

I started with a blank canvas, which I then inked lightly with some Salmon Pink ink round the edges just to give it a bit softer feel. Then I used the small MS butterfly punch to punch all the butterflies which I doubled up on to give the pop effect. The image is one I won a couple of weeks back it is from Karen Doodles and it is called - butterfly girl. I coloured her using my Promarkers and then I used a nestabillity to cut out the oval shape. Lastly I sticked on the ribbon the the wee flowers in the corners to give it a nice finishing touch.
So what do you all think???  lol

Challenges I am entering this into:

Thank you for everyone who takes a minute or two to stop by my blog and leave me lovely comments, hopefully you found some inspiration today.....
