Lexi's Creations DT Card - Fathers Day

Good Morning Every One,
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I know had a very restful one, with lots of friends visiting, but it was really nice to have friends round for Sunday dinner.

Okay so down to business....lol
We have a new challenge starting today over at Lexi' Creations and the theme is Fathersday....Yay
And our sponsor for this week is Letraset....so come on over and join in for a chance to win a prize and come and see all the lovely creations my fellow team members has to offer.

So here's mine:
I used Squaddie Scruffles and it is available from here:

I tried something different for a change, so I made a surprise pop up card, with little hidden messages....
I used plain dark brow card stock which I embossed with my swiss dots folder from cuttlebug. The image itself was coloured using promarkers and the circle die cuts was cut out using a cricut machine. I did not add to much embellishments as I wanted to keep it simple apart from the design, was tricky to figure out at first...lol
So there you go...hope you all like it....I found the tutorial for the card on You tube if anyone was wondering.

I will be entering this into the following challenges:

Second Post of the Day - Another White on White

Good Morning Blogland,
Hope all of you are having a lovely Saturday Morning! I know I have had a very lazy one....lol
After this I promise to start doing something positive...(Who am I kidding it's Saturday)

Anyway I am just quickly going to post another card I coloured the image last night and did the rest this morning. I think I am getting addicted to the white on white cards, but I think this will be the last one for a while....

Anyway here it goes:

I use this freebie image which is available from Kenny K, I coloured her using promarkers, and boy did i struggle with her, but anyhow think it turned out okay.

I used white linen card for my base card and then I just added the white plain bits of card which I embossed with my cuttlebug. The white punched borders is a Martha Stewart punch and the ribbon is from papermania.
The two silver stars I added is two brads I had for absolutely donkies, think it is from my very first stash I ever acquired but just can't ever get something to use them with. (Glad I got rid of them...lol)

Then I stamped the Sentiment and used a Nellie Snellen oval die to cut it out with. then I added some ink, bling and stickles.
And magically this appeared.....(lol)

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Kenny K Crafty Girlz Challenge - White on White
Creative Cow Girls - Dance Inspired
Dream Valley Challenges - Dig out the old
Crafty Cardmakers - Embossing

I was inspired by a few challenges this week that were going on to use white on white, so I really wanted to give it ago, and I must say although it was hard to start with as everything looked so 'white'.....lol, I am quite happy with the end result.

I just went for an A5 card which I just used normal hammered card stock for, then I used plain white card stock which I embossed using my cuttlebug and embossing folders to add the texture to the card. The punched lace border is from Martha Stewart and the buttons and bows is just from my stash. The digi stamp was coloured using my Promarkers.

Well I truly hope you all like it!

Sassy Birthday!

Good Afternoon Bloggers,

How are you all doing? It is absolutely freezing here today and wet and grey, so I stayed in my nice and cosy craft room all day. So I have a card to show you today.....

I used the pretty Fashionsta Chrissy which is available from Sassy Studio's I coloured her using my promarkers then inked the edges with Distress ink. I used the sketch from the current challenge over on Sketch & Stash and my background papers is from my Mind's Eye Paper stack. The Punched lace is a Martha Stewart punch and all the ribbon, bows and pearls is just from my stash. The large pink roses I have had for a very, very long time and went to dig them out a little box in the bottom of a drawer and the image is a New one.

This is the sketch I used from Sketch & Stash.

I am designed this card with the following challenges in mind:
Well I hope you all like it. Thank You for taking a few minutes to stop by my blog. Please know that all comments are very much appreciated.

So why don't you hop over and join in the fun this week, there is lovely digi images to be won and some guest designing spots.

For my card today I went for an gate fold card as I fancied something different and have not tried this particular fold so I gave it a go.
My image is 'Tree on a Hill' from Gingerloft and I chose some dark brown card stock and patterned paper from Papermania to create my card. I went for a CAS card as I thought it went well with the image and it was meant to be for a male so I kept it to a minimal.
