Second Post of the Day!

Evening All,

Well as Promised I have got another couple of things to bring you this evening, but decided to get them posted tonight as tomorrow will be a hectic day and I will definitely not get time to do it and then I will miss the cut o
f time for some challenges!

So let me get on with it:

Me and my LO wanted to make something for her "Scottish Granny" for Mothers Day which is on Sunday. Well I'll just quickly tell you she has three Grans, but because two live in South Africa as we were originally from there, she has now got an adopted Scottish Granny, which is a very lovely lady which was our neighbour for 6 years but we had to move a year a go, but she still goes to see her very often and she calls her Granny Pam.

So this is what we made her:

  • Materials Needed:
  • Large Daisy Punch/Die
  • Small flower punch for centre
  • 1 inch circle punch
  • Some coloured glitter card or glitter foam
  • Skewer sticks
  • 1 empty toilet roll
  • patterned paper
  • Tacky Glue
  • ink/promarkers
  • Embellishment to decorate to taste
Punch your flower shapes and circles from different colours of card and assemble to taste. You can even buy finished flowers if you don't have all the punches needed to do this.

I assembled all my flowers, then I coloured my skewer sticks with using a promarker and tied the thread around. I just pasted double sided tape across the sticks as I found this was quicker but you can use glue as well, but this will take much longer to dry.

Lastly I made the Flower pot to sit them in.
I just covered my toilet roll using some patterned paper and added the mesh and the bow and one of the extra flowers I made. I cut a circle from matching card little bit bigger than the toilet roll for a base which I glued on with some glue and then I added all the pearls around to make it look pretty.

Well, I hope you like this. Hopefully I'll get some time later to make a full tutorial!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Thank You for everyone who took time to stop by my blog.
Hope you all found it inspirational. Thank you for everyone who takes time to leave me a comment, just know it is very much appreciated.

Another Mothers Day Card!

Good Afternoon Fellow Bloggers,

Hope you all had a lovely week so far, can't believe it's already Friday tomorrow, where has this week gone?

Well I was quite busy last night, made a couple of cards and a Mothers Day gift seeing it is Mothers day on Sunday! I'll do them in separate posts though.

So here's my first Card:

Image Close Up

Hand Made Flowers Close Up

This is the Lovely Fairy Laila from Wags 'n Whiskers I bought four lovely fairies from them last week sometime but was waiting to find the inspiration before I used them, so I started with the lovely fairy. I coloured using my Promarkers, and adding some diamond stickles to the wings.

For my background I again used the Cut-up technique (please scroll down a couple of posts as there is a link to a video for this technique). I really enjoy this technique . The rest of the card was designed using the sketch over on the Sketch Saturday blog. I made this card for the Party Time Tuesday challenge which was Handmade flowers. The flowers I made by cutting several sizes of paper from a template I have, and layering them on top of one another. I added some ink on the edges, stickles and the yellow beads to give them some dimension.

Well I hope you like it!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - For a Special Person
Incy Wincy - Sparkle & Shine
Charisma Cardz - Bling & Sparkle
Paper Playtime - Anything Goes

Thank You for everyone who took time to visit my blog. Know that all your comments is very much appreciated.

Spring is in the Air!

Good Afternoon,

How are you all on this lovely Spring Day? Well I am still not feeling better but at least with the sun out my mental state of mind feels better....
So the card I am showing you today is totally inspired by the lovely weather outside.
Sorry I must apologise it's been about a week since I posted anything nice....

So I used the following:
  • 1 Digital Image - Sugar Nellie Grace you can get this from Funky Kits, I just love working with these images their just soooo adorable.
  • One Sentiment Stamp and some embossing powder & heat tool
  • One Card Blank or Card to make your own.
  • Some Backing Paper, I must admit I don't have a clue from where I got this background paper it is paper I got about two years ago and has been in my stash for ages and I could just never find it suitable for anything.
  • Some Pearls, bling, Ribbon, glue, punches & die cuts
  • Pens for colouring like Promarkers
So I first Printed out my image on a white card and then coloured it using my Promarkers and some watercolour pencils.

I designed my card using the sketch from The Sugarbowl Blog & added some embellishments from my stash.
I Stamped the Sentiment and heat embossed it w
ith some brown embossing powder.

Sorry I think my picture is a bit blurry...

Close up of image.

Well I hope you all like this one....

St Patrick's Day Easel Card!

Good Afternoon Bloggers,

Well won't be stopping long...
Hubby was at home today in bed all day as he is a bit unwell with a very bad chest infection, LO has it too and I am not feeling to well e
ither and think I have probably got it now if you don't hear anything me for a few days I think we will be recooperating.

Just quickly wanted to post this card as the deadline for entry is tomorrow.
Well I have been taking part in the March Madness Challenges on the Party Time Tuesdays blog, for the last couple of weeks and to stand a chance to win the big prize you were suppose to take part in all 3 challenges, and seeing I took part in the first two I thought I might as well do this project.

So they wanted us to create an Easel Card which there was a sketch for and a St Patrick's theme.

So I decided to make my card from the left over papers I had left from the little box I made for the previous challenge.
You can find the box and instructions on how to make these if you scroll down as it is only a couple of posts down.

Close up of the bottom bit.

Okay I used the sketch but rotated it by 90 degrees and used all the same elements as for the box as it will now be a matching pair. I think I quite like how it turned out!

Anyway I am entering this into the following challenges:
Party Time Tuesday - Make an easel card with Sketch & Shamrocks theme
Creative Card Crew - No Flowers
Paperplay Challenges - Shades of Green
Charisma Cards - Easel Card
Do You Stack up - Layers
Cardmaking Mamas - Something Green
Sew Many Cards - St Patricks Day
Allsorts Challenge - Luck of the Irish
Wild Orchid Crafts - Die Cuts/Punches

One Stop Craft Challenge Guest Designer Card!

Morning Everyone,

Well this post is quite late!
I was suppose to post it on Saturday, but we had a 60th Birthday Party and Hubby and LO was keeping me quite busy yesterday....
Anyway here it goes:
Theme on the One Stop Craft Challenge Blog for this week is Clean & Simple.
I went for this simple design using a plain scalloped white square card and attached a black & white dotty background to it which I rounded with my corner punch.
After that I used two stamps from the Martha Stewart Cr eatables range which I stamped on plain white card.
I stamped my first flowers, which I then masked and then stamped on the second flower.
Added the sentiment rub-ons and the three small black brads. Easy & Simple but still I find it eye catching.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Paper Sundaes - Keep it Simple

Happy St. Patricks Day Box & Instructions!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Please go here for my Blog Candy it's available till the 12th of April & there's some nice goodies so don't miss your chance to win! Add your name to the Blue froggy!

Hope you all well! It's Friday again....don't know where the time is going, it just seems to be flying by.....

Today's Post is going to be quite long as I am featuring a little box I made, but I would like to tell everyone how I made it as well as it is pretty easy.

I made this with two specific Blog challenges in mind:
Party Time Tuesdays - They want us to make a box, hence my creation with a St Patrick's theme.

And the second one was for the One Stop Craft Challenge - Which is to use Black, White & One other colour so I went for Black, White & Green. Think this colour combination worked quite well.

So here's my piccies:

What you Need:
Patterned Paper
Plain Paper
Black Card
Stamped Image, mine is from Daisy & Dandelion -Onion & Pickles
Brads, Eyelets, Pearls or embellishment to your taste
All- Purpose Glue
3D foam pads

Instructions for box:
Start with the lid using a square patterned paper 20 cm .

  1. Find the centre by folding diagonally point to point both ways. Open out flat and place face down.
  2. Fold all four corners into the centre point to create a smaller square. Rotate slightly so that it is aligned like a square not a diamond. Leave folded.
  3. Fold the lower edge horizontally up so that it meets the centre point. Fold the upper edge horizontally down to meet the centre point. Unfold both folds.
  4. Rotate the piece 90° and repeat step 3 so that the other two sides also have fold creases, remember to unfold these last two folds.
  5. Unfold the left and right sides. Then refold the top and bottom edges to the centre, creating a long narrow shape with a diamond at each end.
  6. Place your fingernail at the top right corner of the centre square, which will form the base of the box (defined by the fold lines) and fold the top right-hand edge down so that the point of the diamond faces vertically down. Unfold and repeat, folding up from the bottom, then unfold. Repeat both fold on the other end, remembering to unfold each time.
  7. Partially unfold the top and bottom sides so that they stand up vertically. Pull up the points of the diamond on each side to create the third and fourth sides of the box. Make sure the corners of the box fold inward as you do so.
  8. Fold the extra vertical paper down inside the box and along the base so that the point returns to its original central position. Repeat on the other end.
  9. Repeat the above steps for the box itself, using a 20 cm square Plain coloured paper.
  10. Cut a strip of Plain coloured paper 30 x 6.5 cm. Fold every 7 cm along its length and glue inside the box base, lining the sides to extend them higher so that the box lid can sit on top.
Decorate your box to taste.

I am entering this into some other challenges too:
Well, hope you all like it and I hope that you can understand the instructions on the box! Thank You for taking time to visit my blog! Thank You also for all comments left, they all very much appreciated.

Welcome New Baby Tilda!

Good Afternoon Followers,

I managed a few cards today but I will do them all in separate posts.
My first card is this lovely Baby Tilda which only made her way into my home at 1 pm this afternoon and already she is featuring in one of my cards, and I can tell this will be the first of probably a few more....
So I took the idea from my new Cardmaking & Papercrafts magazine, which only arrived today, they featured quite a few baby cards in there so I saw one with the banner idea and really liked it!
The image was coloured using my promarkers.
The background papers is from the Polka Dot Paper Stack from Wild Rose Studios.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Hope you all like it...Thank You for taking time to visit my blog! Just know that all your lovely comments is appreciated!
