My First Challenge entry for 2012!

Good Evening Everyone,

Yes, well guess who is popping in again, I have actually managed to make some cards this weekend and decided it was about time I posted something for 2012 seeing we're already in the 3rd month of the year....

It is really scary how quickly time has gone....and yes it has been about seven months since I have actually done any crafting....don't know how I managed that lol.....

So here I am with a few cards but I'll do them one at a time.....

My first card I made was really just to see if I still can craft lol....or cut a straight line or something....

I went for a Mothers Day themed card seeing it is Mothersday in a couple of weeks time here in the UK and I wasn't really too sure when I will find time again and if I will find time again to craft.....

So here's my card:

The ribbon I am not too sure about as it was also only a little piece I had lying about, so I will have to lie if I told you which make/brand it is....lolOkay the Papers and basically everything on this card was out my scrap box and the odds and ends box.....

The Papers if from Papermania which is really some of the oldest papers I have in my stash, I think this is from a 6x6 paper pad and I am very sure this is one of the very first 6x6 paper pads I ever bought....

The Yellow flower was made out of different little die cut flowers I had in my die flower die cut box, some of these must probably be really old too. The oval and scalloped oval was cut out using my spellbinders and xcut dies. The Sentiment is a digi that was also just lying in my sentiment digi box so please forgive me as I am not able to tell either where I got this originally from.

Well, I really hope you all like this card and you could find something that inspires you.....

Just Popping In!

Hi, Everyone

Well, I bet this is a bit of a surprise for a few of my blogging friends....
Well, for those that doesn't know, I was away to South Africa for a few months and believe me when I tell you I feel sorry for people living there as the internet is NO USE....

Anyway a lot has been happening in my life since I left for South Africa in August, since then I have found out that we're expecting another baby soon...which has been taking up most of my time since returning to the UK as I have to get everything sorted and ready for the New Arrival....which will be around the 5th of May.

So as some of you know as well I have given up all my designing work to make time for other things, hopefully one day I will find enough hours in a day for everything and can return to what I love to do....Crafting....as there has not been much of that lately.

But I am promising to pop in from time to time with something...don't know what yet as I decided I want to try a few other types of crafts as well this year....lol.....sewing being one of them.....

Anyway I have been making a few crafty things in the last couple of weeks so hopefully I will be back shortly with some more post and maybe be showing some of the projects I have been working on...

Pixie Cottage is Going back to School

Good Morning all my Lovely Blogging Friends,

How are you all doing today? Yes it is Wednesday again and I can't believe how the time has flown by!

We have a new challenge again for everyone to play with over at Pixie Cottage,

and as usual we have two parts to the challenge, so you can use either the lovely sketch or our theme, which is Back to School this week, or you can do both.

Okay so here we go,

Card Recipe:

Image: I used the Bench (A Place to sit) from The Pixie Cottage and Tilda writing her diary. My images was coloured using my Promarkers and then cut out.

Papers: Is from Nitwits and is called Live 'n Learn

Embellishments: The big metal buttons is from my local bead shop and the letters was cut out using Platin Schoolbook font and a Cricut machine.

Sketch Time at Craft Your Passion!

Morning Blogland,

How are you all doing on this Monday morning, I am not going to say lovely because it is probably not, the weather is horrendous today....

Well another week has gone and we have a new challenge starting over on Craft Your Passion, and this week we have a lovely sketch for you to play with.

For my card I used one of the sponsor images as we were lucky enough to get some to play with.

So I chose Steampunk Fairy and coloured her using my Promarkers....

I layered her onto a black oval which I have put a lace doiley around which I coloured using my Promarkers ( that was quite a job as the material didn't want to absorb the PM's so therefore you can some places see a few white spotties, which I am not too happy about, but it just didn't want to cover up)

The gears was cut out using my cuttlebug and a sizzix die.

Sweet Stampin' DT Card - Strawberries, Chocolate & Cream

Morning Sweet Stampers & Followers,
Yes you are right it is Saturday again, and it is time for a new challenge over on Sweet Stampin Challenge.

Our challenge this week has been chosen by the lovely Debbie and she has chosen a colour combo of Strawberry, chocolate and cream...how yummy!!

Here's my Card:

I went for a Easel Shaped card as I haven't done one in a very long time, so I thought I will make one.

My Papers I have used is from a 6x6 paperstack from K&Company, I had these papers for a very long time, so I decided it is time to dig them out and put them to good use.

The paper lace borders was punched using my Martha Stewart border punch and the doily shape which the sentiment is layered onto is a Nellie Snellen frame which I cut out using my Grand Calibur

I then added some ribbon to the borders and the distressed roses has been handmade using a tutorial I found ages ago on Youtube, the two smaller brown flowers is from Wild Orchid crafts, lastly I added the leaves and the pins to the arrangement and some glitter stickles to my sentiment.
