Good Afternoon Followers,
How has your weekend been so far? Weather wise it's been not to bad here, the sun was out for most of the day making it quite pleasant outside.

The card I am featuring today is the one for my last Guest Designing Spot with The Sweet Stamping Blog, and the them for the next week is - Oh so Girly. Nice and easy as we just all love to make those girly cards.

I used the sketch from the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge to design my layout, and I went for the Simply Adorable Image from Sugar Nellie. I simply love to colour these. I coulred the image using my Promarkers and some Watercolour pencils.
The backing papers is from My Minds Eye stack and the big ribbon rose was hand made by me. There is a tutorial for this rose on my blog if anyone is interested.

Happy Birthday!

Good Afternoon Followers,
How has the new week treated you so far?
Over on my end not to bad, apart from the weather that turned out to be very dull, grey & wet again today....I wish spring will come now.
Well I am actually in the middle of sorting my crafting space, but decide to quickly finish this project as I was kinda in the middle of it.....
This card I designed using the sketch from the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge.
I went with this Magnolia Rubber Stamp as there is a few challenge on at the minute for Cake....
I coloured the image using my Promarkers an then cut out using a nestie die, which I then inked the edges.
The backing papers are both digital papers I downloaded from the internet, I inked the edges on them too to give them a distressed look. The flowers was made using dies and my cuttlebug and the border punch is from Martha Stewart. I added some stickles to the flower and the sentiment to give it a little shine. The sentiment was stamped and embossed with cherry flavour embossing powder. I created this card with the following challenges in mind:

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch
Simon Says Stamps - Make your own embellishments (The flower I made)
Cute Card Thursdays - Shiny Happy Cards (Added Stickles to the flower & Sentiment)
Paperplay Challenge - Add Shine (Stickles)
Do You stack Up - Dots (I used the dotty digital papers)
Wags 'n Whiskers - Punches
Lothian Crafts Online - Pastel Colours
Cupcake Challenge - Use a cake
One Stop Craft Challenge - Use a Cake
Alota Rubber Stamps - Nestabilities
Incy Wincy Designs - Use dies/Punches
A Spoonful of Sugar - Birthday Wishes
Digital Tuesdays - Punches
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes

Well, that a few....lol

Monochrome Card for Someone Special!

Good Evening Everyone,
Well, this is the second post for today, just because I had a little time to play! The following card I made, I went for something more simple and elegant.
I made this card for a very special friend that is turning 60 in March, we have been neighbours for 6 years until we moved last year, but we still keep in touch and she is very dear to my heart.

I used the digital papers which I downloaded way back so not too sure where they originally from. I layered it onto plain black card. I then cut the two rectangles from white card which I embossed using my Cuttlebug and and swiss dots folder, I then again layered them onto plain black card. The 60 is die cuts I cut with my cuttlebug and the Happy Birthday is a digi sentiment I created using My craft Studio Software.
The flower was hand made from white card and inked with black ink, giving it a distressed look.

This is plain and simple but I think it is quite effective. Hope you all like it!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
  1. Digital Tuesdays - Use a die cut (The letters)
  2. Fab 'n Funky - Make your own (The flower was handmade)
  3. Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Make Your own (the flower again)
  4. The Pixie Cottage -Embossing (I used dry embossing)
  5. Stampin for the Weekend - Monochrome
  6. Cardmadfairy - Distress it (I distressed the flower)
  7. One Stop Craft Challenge - Birthday Card
  8. Truly Scrumptious - Swirls & Pearls
Thank You for stopping by my blog, please know that all comments and critiques are welcome.

This is going to be a quickie as I am off to bed shortly as I had a difficult day or two behind me! LO is not very well and is very clingy at the minute, meaning I do not get much time to do anything else. It's really do not like it when she's ill, wish it could've rather been me....

Anyway hope everyone had a lovely week so far....is it just me or has this week just gone soooooo quickly?

Well, I made this card earlier this week as I haven't made a Tilda card in ages, so really wanted to use this stamp.
