Pixie Cottage is Going back to School

Good Morning all my Lovely Blogging Friends,

How are you all doing today? Yes it is Wednesday again and I can't believe how the time has flown by!

We have a new challenge again for everyone to play with over at Pixie Cottage, 

and as usual we have two parts to the challenge, so you can use either the lovely sketch or our theme, which is Back to School this week, or you can do both.

Okay so here we go,

Card Recipe:

Image: I used the Bench (A Place to sit)  from The Pixie Cottage and Tilda writing her diary. My images was coloured using my Promarkers and then cut out.

Papers: Is from Nitwits and is called Live 'n Learn

Embellishments: The big metal buttons is from my local bead shop and the letters was cut out using Platin Schoolbook font and a Cricut machine.

Sketch Time at Craft Your Passion!

How are you all doing on this Monday morning, I am not going to say lovely because it is probably not, the weather is horrendous today....

Well another week has gone and we have a new challenge starting over on Craft Your Passion, and this week we have a lovely sketch for you to play with.

For my card I used one of the sponsor images as we were lucky enough to get some to play with.

So I chose Steampunk Fairy and coloured her using my Promarkers....

I layered her onto a black oval which I have put a lace doiley around which I coloured using my Promarkers ( that was quite a job as the material didn't want to absorb the PM's so therefore you can some places see a few white spotties, which I am not too happy about, but it just didn't want to cover up)

The gears was cut out using my cuttlebug and a sizzix die.

Sweet Stampin' DT Card - Strawberries, Chocolate & Cream

Morning Sweet Stampers & Followers,
Yes you are right it is Saturday again, and it is time for a new challenge over on Sweet Stampin Challenge.


Our challenge this week has been chosen by the lovely Debbie and she has chosen a colour combo of Strawberry, chocolate and cream...how yummy!!

Here's my Card:

I went for a Easel Shaped card as I haven't done one in a very long time, so I thought I will make one.

My Papers I have used is from a 6x6 paperstack from K&Company, I had these papers for a very long time, so I decided it is time to dig them out and put them to good use.

The paper lace borders was punched using my Martha Stewart border punch and the doily shape which the sentiment is layered onto is a Nellie Snellen frame which I cut out using my Grand Calibur

I then added some ribbon to the borders and the distressed roses has been handmade using a tutorial I found ages ago on Youtube, the two smaller brown flowers is from Wild Orchid crafts, lastly I added the leaves and  the pins to the arrangement and some glitter stickles to my sentiment.

My image is Sharing Sherbert Daydream from Pollycraft.

I coloured my image using my Promarkers and then added some glitter to the wings.

Pixie Cottage - Summer Nights DT Card

How are you all doing today? I have been feeling a bit under the weather, but not too sure whats up, so hopefully it will clear off soon.

Yes I am now back home after my holidays and finished unpacking all my craft stuff again, never used any of the stuff I packed just for incase....lol

As you know it is Saturday and as usual we have a New challenge starting over on Sweet Stampin and this weeks challenge is ON the Farm and the theme was chosen by me....hehe

For my card I went for a Stepper card and created this lovely scene...

My Farm animals is from Digital Delights and my background papers is from a Papermania Paperstack.

Sorry but I just realised that my Post never went live yesterday! It just totally disappeared....

So I am going to keep this sweet & short as I am actaully on holiday this week and not supposed to blog...lol according to hubby.

Craft Your Passion - Simply Betty Releases

Good Evening Everyone,

Well, sorry my post is a wee bit late as some of you know I am actually on Holiday this week and I have not been doing any blogging since Friday apart from a few scheduled posts.

But unfortunately my post for this one has never gone live...yikes blogger!

Anyway today's card I am showing you is my Dt Card which I made for my guest designing spot over on Craft your Passion, and we were very lucky to get some lovely images to play with from Simply Betty and these has actually not been realeased yet....

So here it is....and it's actually the first one for my Christmas box....

 My Image is called Tiki from Simply Betty and I coloured her using my Promarkers....then I layered her on brown card which I cut out using my spellbinders. My sketch is from the current challenge over on Sketch & Stash and my papers is from a Papermania Paperstack "Naughty & Nice"!

OSCC - Sentiment Focus

Hope you all having a lovely weekend!

It is Saturday again, and time for a new challenge at One Stop Crafts Challenge.

And our theme for the next week is To use a Sentiment as Focus.

and here is my card....

I just went for something simple....

I used a Scalloped circle die to cut an aperture out my mine card, then I layered the sentiment onto a smaller sized circle...

Then I just added the ribbon and bow and a simple flower.

Pixie Cottage DT Card - Sketch & Technique

I went for Paper Piecing as my technique.

My Recipe:

My image is a Rubber Stamp from Pixie Cottage and its called Fall Friend.

I paper pieced his dungarees, shirt, hat and shoes and the rest I coloured using my Promarkers. My backing papers is from a paper stack Milton & Co by Wild rose Studios. Everything else is just from my stash.

I coloured my image using my Promarkers and added the little pearls and glitter for embellishment.

Die Cuts: All the swirls was cut out using a cricut machine.

Flowers: Wild Orchid crafts

Ribbon, doily, card and feathers from my stash.

I really hope you all like this as I was quite happy with the end result.
